Start a new cycle block on the first day you bleed, and write that date at the top.

Period Tracker Template
A one-line-per-day Markdown template for recording bleeding days, flow, symptoms and mood — enough to see your own cycle length and pattern without any app at all.
How to use it
Record it plainly, count it honestly, bring it with you
Add one line a day: whether you bled, how heavy it was, and anything you noticed.
When the next period starts, count the days between the two start dates — that is your cycle length.
How many cycles do I need before the numbers mean anything?
Three finished cycles is usually enough to see a range, and six makes that range trustworthy. A single cycle tells you almost nothing, which is why any average you see early on should be read as a rough guess.
What counts as day one?
The first day of proper bleeding, not spotting the day before. Being consistent about it matters more than getting it exactly right, because cycle length is measured from one day one to the next.
How does Daisy help with this?
Daisy does the counting for you. Tapping a petal records a bleeding day, and the app derives cycle length, bleeding days, regularity and your usual range from those taps — with everything kept on your phone.
